Little Lane Workshop is a small, local practice working with outdoor timber, bringing care to repairs, improvements and small structures in gardens and shared spaces.
We're interested in things that last - materials that weather well, details that feel right, and solutions that don’t overcomplicate what should be simple. Each job begins with understanding what’s already there, before deciding what needs to be done.
Why Little Lane?
We work quietly and methodically. We don’t rush jobs, and we don’t take on more than we can give proper attention to. If something can be repaired rather than replaced, we'll say so. If it’s reached the end of its life, we’ll be honest about that too.
Most of my work comes through word of mouth, which suits the way we like to work.

Little Lane Workshop grew from an interest in making and maintaining things at a human scale. We work mostly with timber, focusing on small outdoor structures and garden spaces that benefit from a careful, practical approach.
We enjoy the slower side of work - understanding how something has been put together, how it has aged, and how it might be improved without unnecessary intervention. I’m not interested in volume or speed. we’d rather do fewer jobs well than many jobs quickly.
We work locally and independently, taking pride in being reliable, tidy and straightforward to deal with. The work itself is simple, but it’s done with care.
What we do
Most of our work involves timber, particularly outdoor structures and garden elements. This includes repairs, replacements and small new pieces where care and proportion matter.
